Classification Averages

 

These tables are intended as a guide to the target scores needed to achieve the various classifications. The GNAS tables derive the handicaps and hence the classifications for each round by adding the appropriate expected scores for each distance. These base figures are given in GNAS tables 6, 7 & 8. The Summer Round tables here are derived directly from them. There are no eqivalent tables for Winter Rounds, since most are shot over single distances. Those given here are derived directly from the round scores.

As with all sets of averages, a low score on one dozen may be balanced by a higher score on another. The GNAS tables give figures for 2 dozens at Imperial distances and 3 dozens at Metric distances. These derived tables are all for dozen scores and calculated to the nearest first decimal place. Some rounding also occurs in calculating handicaps and classifications so exact correspondence is not guaranteed for borderline cases for all rounds. They are for guidance only.
